We are pleased to inform that, as of January 11, 2026, Hanol Intellectual Property & Law has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ClassHankyul Law Firm, to provide more comprehensive and integrated advisory services for technology-driven companies engaging in business activities in Korea and globally.
This strategic collaboration has been established to address, in a thorough and efficient manner, the intellectual property and legal issues that foreign companies may encounter when entering and operating in the Korean market. Through this arrangement, the firms will jointly provide end-to-end advisory services, supporting clients across the full spectrum of intellectual property and legal matters. These services include, without limitation, the filing, prosecution, and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Korea, such as patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, as well as contracts, licensing, dispute resolution, and litigation.
In particular, from the early stages of market entry into Korea, the collaboration enables a comprehensive review of potential intellectual property disputes, rights delineation, contractual frameworks, and related risk factors. This approach allows for the development of careful, prevention-oriented strategies focused on early risk management and fully aligned with the Korean legal and regulatory environment. Accordingly, when building a global intellectual property portfolio that includes foreign filings, strategies for securing and leveraging rights in Korea can be structured in accordance with international standards, ensuring continuity and consistency between clients’ Korean market entry and their broader global intellectual property strategies.
Through our cooperation with ClassHankyul, we aim to deliver consistent, reliable, and high-quality intellectual property and legal advisory services, thereby supporting overseas clients in a stable and systematic manner throughout their entry into and expansion within the Korean market.
